2017 Vinnies CEO Sleepout
Last night I joined over 1,400 CEO’s across Australia taking part in the 2017 Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
It was the first time I took part in the CEO Sleepout and for me, it was an eye-opening and humbling experience. It was not as easy as I had initially anticipated to to give up my comfortable bed, a safe home environment and simple everyday pleasure that have become the norm for me.
I cannot say I got much sleep or that I was comfortable, however it was important to expose myself to the reality of the conditions so many people in Australia are forced to face on a daily basis. No one deserves to live like this, especially not the thousands of children that make up part of this figure.
Homelessness has always been a topic close to heart as one of my close friends from childhood was kicked out of home when we were just kids, and left to fend for himself in very harsh conditions. I will continue in working towards making a difference through personal avenues as well as through my company Sherwood Finance. If you would still like to sponsor me, it’s not too late to visit my link and donate.
All donations are tax deductible and together we can create a positive impact in someone’s life. I think it’s time we all do something to help those in need because really, a good deed never goes unnoticed.
Countdown to the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout
Sherwood Finance is excited to be involved in this year’s Vinnies CEO Sleepout which is only three days away! Our CEO Daniel Donnelly will be joining the other CEO’s in lending their voice, networks and resources to this very important cause. If you haven’t donated yet, please jump on-board and help us raise some funds for those in need.
More than 2.5 million Australians are living below the poverty line and more than 105,000 Australians are experiencing homelessness. Behind these numbers are real people, doing it really tough.
Each year the Vinnies CEO Sleepout raises vital funds for these individuals, improving their quality of life and in some cases even saving lives. All donations are tax deductible and will empower Vinnies volunteers to provide practical assistance on the frontline.
The donations raised by last year’s CEO Sleepout provided assistance to almost 2 million homeless or disadvantaged people, with 1,590,554 meals and 689,819 bed nights. A donation of just $10 or $20 will make a huge difference in someone’s life.
The Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout is all about building stronger and more compassionate communities. Sherwood Finance believes deeply that we can all be more generous towards the communities we live in.
